Go beyond a regular tufting workshop. Rug Maker Academy is an 6+ hours intensive, hands-on training experience designed for anyone who wants to learn the complete rug-making process, build a home tufting studio, or take the first step toward making custom rugs.

• Small Class – Maximum 4 Students
  Learn in a small-group environment with plenty of individual attention from your instructor.

• Tufting Techniques & Gun Control
  Learn proper tufting techniques, yarn placement, line work, curves, filling, and how to create cleaner, more consistent results.

• Gluing & Professional Backing
  Learn how to properly glue and finish the back of your rug for a clean, durable, professional result.

• Trimming, Shaving & Professional Carving
  Learn the techniques that transform a freshly tufted piece into a polished, professional-looking rug.

• Tools, Materials & Equipment Knowledge
  Learn what you actually need to tuft at home—including tufting equipment, yarn, fabric, adhesive, trimming tools, and finishing supplies.

• Learn How to Set Up Your Home Tufting Studio
  We'll walk you through the basics of creating a practical home setup so you can continue making rugs independently.

• Common Mistakes & Troubleshooting
  Learn how to identify and fix common tufting problems before they ruin your rug.

• Take Home Your Completed Rug
  Complete the entire process yourself and leave with a finished rug—and the knowledge of how you made it.

• Continued Support After Your Class
  Your learning doesn't end when you leave Tuft World. Academy students have access to our community afterward with tufting questions, troubleshooting problems, and challenges they encounter while working at home.

*** The workshop begins at 10:00 AM. We’ll take a 45-minute lunch break during the day. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch or order delivery to the studio. Complimentary water, coffee, and light snacks will be available throughout the day. The workshop is expected to finish around 5:00–5:30 PM. ***
